Continuing to pursue its commitment to quality products and service, GlobTek, a world-class provider of Primary and Secondary rechargeable battery packs, power supplies, and power electronic solutions, announces it’s latest primary battery’s releases to production. Model BS2200C1450504S1PSAW is a 14.4V, 2200mAh Primary battery pack utilizing UL approved/certified ER14505 Lithium Thionyl Chloride (Li-SOCl2) cells in a 4S1P (4 cells in series and 1 in parallel) configuration. The battery pack has dimensions of 30x20x53mm and weights approximately 88g. The pack’s maximum constant discharge current is 500mA and maximum pulse current is 1000mA. The battery pack is specified with an operating temperature of -55℃—85℃.

Lithium Thionyl Chloride cells were chosen due to their High-energy density, High-open circuit voltage, Wide range operating temperature, Stable operating voltage and current, Long operating time, and Low self-discharge rate (less than 1%/year at 25°C). Typical applications for this battery pack are Utility meter (water, electricity, gas meter and AMR), Alarm or security equipment (smoke alarm system, detector), GPS tracking, Real time clocks, Digitally controlled machines, and Military Remote monitoring systems.
